Security Aspects

Rutronik has produced a comprehensive white paper on security aspects that will help developers, product managers, and buyers to create secure switching and system concepts, thereby also meeting the requirements of the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which becomes legally enforceable on May 25, 2018.

The comprehensive white paper entitled “Security Aspects – White Paper on How to Make State of the Art Electronic Designs” runs to around 100 pages and addresses key areas that are essential to hardware and software developers, product managers, and buyers when implementing the requirements of the GDPR. These include the relevant articles of the GDPR as well as background knowledge on cryptography, various encryption and wireless technologies, and explanations of phenomena such as silent data corruption. May 25, 2018 – an important date

The GDPR introduces new rules governing the way in which personal data is processed. It becomes legally enforceable on May 25, 2018. Companies will have to implement the data protection rules set out in the regulation by this date or face fines of up to 20 million euros or four per cent of their global turnover.
