Always up to date and coping with legal environmental regulations

New Member in FBDi association

Markus Kep, Managing Director of MEDI Kabel GmbH

Since the beginning of the year the distributor MEDI Kabel GmbH is relying on the platform of the FBDi Association. Founded more than 30 years ago, the company specializes in cable solutions according to individual requirements and is a leading dealer for automotive cables. In the electronics industry, which is characterized by many specific challenges, the exchange with other distributors is indispensable, as is targeted support in the application and interpretation of environmental legislation. This is precisely where the FBDi offers its members a professional platform through regular meetings of the Competence Teams Environment&Compliance, Quality Management, Transportation&Trade Compliance and Market&Future. They also receive economic advice, among other things, through market observation and in the interpretation of market analyses and market data, which are made available as decision-making aids.

"We want to maintain contact and exchange experience with distributors from the electronics industry," says Markus Kep, Managing Director of MEDI Kabel GmbH. "Because explosive topics are dealt with in the FBDi, we can always be up to date with the latest knowledge. Coping with legal regulations and questions is another topic to which we can find answers here".

MEDI Kabel GmbH, based in Waldkraiburg near Munich, offers cable solutions according to individual requirements. In a modern warehouse with over 3900m2 area the distributor stocks many common standard cables from the catalogue. If these do not fit, specialists from the technical department are available to develop tailor-made solutions from small lot sizes and accompany them until completion, including the necessary documentation. MEDI Kabel is also a leading distributor of automotive cables and can quickly cover demand in this segment thanks to the most varied stock in Germany. The in-house rewinding department makes it possible to offer suitable packaging for machine processing in customer-optimized sizes.

The company has been tested and certified by UL as 'Processed Wire - Respooled': To ensure that rewound UL goods are also provided with the original information for traceability, MEDI Kabel has a separate UL certification for in-house printing and labels the label with the required UL information itself.
