Die Nachfrage nach Wireless Datenübertragung zieht weltweit an – darauf hat der Kommunikationsspezialist NetModule mit der Einrichtung einer neuen Niederlassung in Australien reagiert. Es handelt sich um ein Joint Venture mit dem vor Ort in Sydney ansässigen Distributor AVVERO Pty Ltd.

 

Im Fokus steht die lokale Präsenz für Großkunden, um deren Infrastruktur und Wireless Kommunikation punktgenau zu realisieren. Zu den aktuellen Projekten zählt eine multinationale Bergbaugesellschaft (Rio Tinto): Sie betreibt im Westen von Australien auf einer Fläche von rund 200km2 verschiedene Einzelminen. Das geschürfte Eisenerz wird über Güterzüge zur Verladung in den Hafen von Perth gebracht. Die Übermittlung der Betriebsdaten von den Zügen an eine Zentrale soll über ein neu installiertes Enterprise LTE-Mobilfunknetz (eLTE) erfolgen, mit NetModule Railway-Routern der Serie NB37xx als Kommunikationsendgeräte. Der Fokus liegt auf Zuverlässigkeit und unterbrechungsfreier Datenübertragung. Für die Umsetzung bringt NetModule zusätzlich zu den Wireless Routern seine Expertise bei der Integration von Kommunikations- und Internet-Technologien in Embedded Systemen und beim Roll-out von Großprojekten ein. Der Projektstart ist bereits erfolgt, in der Endstufe werden mehrere Endgeräte für Züge zum Einsatz kommen.

 

Die Wireless Bahn-Router-Familie umfasst verschiedene bahnzertifizierte Geräte für die drahtlose Daten- und Sprachkommunikation in Eisenbahnen. Indem die Geräte die neuesten Funktechnologien und das Mobile IP-Protokoll unterstützen, ermöglichen sie hochverfügbare Verbindungen mit nahtlosem Übergang zwischen verschiedenen Netzen.
