FBDi: Vier zusätzliche SVHCs auf Kandidatenliste

Im Januar hat die ECHA (Europäische Chemikalienagentur) vier neue Stoffe auf ihre Kandidatenliste aufgenommen, so dass die Kandidatenliste somit 223 besonders besorgniserregende Stoffe (SVHC) umfasst, die für eine Zulassung in Frage kommen. Bei den neu hinzugefügten Substanzen handelt es sich um:
  • 6,6'-Di-tert-butyl-2,2'-methylendi-p-cresol – fortpflanzungsgefährdend – Anwendung u.a. in Kautschuk, Schmiermittel, Klebstoffen, Tinten und Kraftstoff
  • Tris(2-methoxyethoxy)vinylsilan – fortpflanzungsgefährdend – Anwendung u.a. in Gummi, Kunststoffen und Dichtstoffen
  • (±)-1,7,7-Trimethyl-3-[(4-methylphenyl)methylen]bicyclo[2.2.1]heptan-2-on, das beliebige der einzelnen Isomere und/oder Kombinationen davon abdeckt (4-MBC) – 4-MBC hat endokrinschädliche Eigenschaften, Anwendung in Kosmetika  
  • S-(Tricyclo(5.2.1.02,6)deca-3-en-8(oder 9)-yl-O-(isopropyl oder isobutyl oder 2-ethylhexyl)-O-(isopropyl oder isobutyl oder 2-ethylhexyl)phosphordithioat – PBT-Eigenschaften, Anwendung in Schmierstoffen und Fetten
In diesem Zusammenhang verweist der FBDi ausdrücklich auf die Verpflichtung für Unternehmen zur sicheren Verwendung dieser Chemikalien und zur sofortigen Informationspflicht in Verbindung mit den in der Kandidatenliste aufgeführten Stoffen: Sind in einem Erzeugnis (als Erzeugnis gilt jede einzelne Komponente eines Produkts und nicht nur das Endprodukt) mehr als 0,1 Massenprozent eines in der Kandidatenliste genannten SVHC enthalten, müssen Unternehmen innerhalb der EU ihren gewerblichen Kunden zur sicheren Verwendung dieses Erzeugnisses ausreichende Informationen zur Verfügung stellen, mindestens aber den Namen des enthaltenen Stoffes angeben (Art. 33 (1) der REACh-Verordnung (EG) Nr. 1907/2006).
Zudem müssen Unternehmen seit Januar 2021 Produkte, die SVHCs enthalten, in die SCIP Datenbank der ECHA melden.
